 A good way to create a personal anniversary message for your husband is to modify an existing, well-known rhyme. One of my favourite rhymes for this purpose is:
"Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you!"
 Tip: Try to modify the rhyme to suit your personal situation. It's pretty easy because lots of words rhyme with blue (thank goodness violets are not orange)!

 Example: When I was newly married a local turkey farmer was advertising his poultry on TV using the phrase "My turkeys are beautiful!".  So, for our first anniversary, I added the following rhyme into our first anniversary card:
 "Roses are red, violets are blue, turkeys are beautiful and so are you!"

 Believe it or not, it was a big hit and got a lot of laughs! 
Here are some other versions to start your own creative juices:
  • Roses are red, violets are blue, love me so much, like I love you! 
  • Roses are red, violets are blue, chicken wings are hot and so are you! 
  • Roses are red, violets are blue, I don't want to spend a day without you!

    Free eCards For Anniversaries

    Here is a review of five online web sites offering free ecards for anniversaries.
    • www.123greetings.com: A good selection of anniversary cards for everyone in the family. Anniversary cards for couples, for him and for her. You will need to use the search facility to find anniversary cards for parents.
    • www.dgreetings.com: Great selection of free anniversary ecards. In my opinion, this site is by far the best site that I have seen for free anniversary ecards for everyone in your family. 
    • www.egreetings.com: Not a great selection, mostly funny and cartoonish
    • www.americangreetings.com: A reasonable collection but you have to sign up to get a free trial.
    • www.greeting-cards.com: Only a limited selection of free ecards in each category, then  you have to become a member.

        When you hit the milestone wedding anniversaries, nothing is more romantic than a 'second honeymoon' to an exotic destination.


        This article looks at the top 10 most popular anniversary destinations, and my own personal favourite romantic getaways.
